Jana joined Multiwave in 2024 as part of an industrial Chair of medical imaging with France’s National Research Agency and Aix-Marseille University. At Multiwave, she is developing scanner technologies for neurological and musco-squeletal applications. In parallel, she is pursuing her PhD in Physics with the Center of Medical and Biological Magnetic Resonance (CRMBM) and institut Fresnel to develop MRI acquisition strategies and data reconstruction.

Prior to Multiwave, Jana earned a master’s degree in complex systems engineering from Ecole Centrale Marseille in 2024 within a double diploma program with her university in Lebanon where she completed a biomedical engineering degree. In her years of study, she developed a passion for physics in the medical imaging field.

She did internships in France related mainly to applications of optics in the biological field at the European Center for Medical Imaging (Cerimed) and the Adhesion and Inflammation lab (LAI), and in the semiconductors inspection field at Unity Semiconductors.

When she’s off work, Jana enjoys painting, reading and hiking.
